Our platform makes it easier then ever to plan your working schedule, define your daily price, preferred sailing areas and to build up your reputation in the industry. 

To register to Skipper Ninja you will have to provide:

• Valid captain's license & insurance.
• Relevant qualifications and endorsements.
• Sailing CV and proof of sailing experience in relevant sailing areas.

To get approved as a skipper, you need to complete your online profile (feel free to pause and continue later if you are unable to complete everything at once).

After submitting your application, a Skipper.Ninja representative will personally check your profile and get in touch with you to schedule a personal interview in order to approve your application. 
Once officially approved, you can use our platform to set or update your pricing and availability. All the necessary details will be visible to fleet operators and our clients in the skipper search result.

The short personal interview will have a duration of approx. 5 to 20 minutes and will be done by video chat in a relaxed atmosphere.  

You may be asked to verify your identity by showing a personal identity document into the camera (passport, driving licence, etc). 

During the interview you will be asked questions about your skippering experience, places you have been to and your basic attitude. The information you give us in the interview is private and will not be shared with our other customers.

Please understand that sometimes our Experts may be forced to reject skipper applications in order to meet the high requirements of our partners. Usually you will get a short notice why your application was rejected and in most of the cases insufficient experience will be the reason for our decision. But this is not the end. Simply gather more experience, improve your profile and we will be happy to see you in the future again.

In the early days of Skipper.Ninja the booking proccess will be done basically manually. Once you find a skipper for your pending job in our Search Engine you can get in direct contact by using our implemented mailing system. Now it is time to find out if the skipper is the perfect match, discuss the job requirements and maybe sign an agreement for the job. 

Skipper.Ninja is working hard to automate the booking process and we will keep you updated about new features in the future.

When you appear in a skipper search result, you will get a message about this appearance. If you are not available on a specific date or region, please remember to update your availability in your dashboard.

Last-minute-assignments (LMAs) have their checkin date within the next 72 hours. 

When receiving a LMA request, you have to answer within 30 minutes. LMAs always have to be accepted manually.
